We're Omar and Laya, and this is our journey learning Arabic.

Every Friday we write down two of the stories from our week — one small one for children, one for grown-ups who are just starting out. Ein Karem means the spring of the vineyard, and that's more or less how it works here: you come, you drink a little, and over a year it adds up to something.
